Dear colleagues,

Amsterdam Live Endoscopy is a fact!  After our first, very successful course in December 2007, we have received very enthusiastic feedback from many participants.  And not only our attendees were happy, also our patients have appreciated the opportunity to be treated by world experts in the safe surroundings of the Academic Medical Center.

We have therefore decided to continue this course and actually to improve it.  Even though the first edition was very good, there is always room to improve. One of the areas where we want to improve is in our case selection and presentation.  We have already a list of procedures that we would like to show and added learning objectives to each of the procedures.  This will help our experts to bring across better specific teaching points during each procedure and should lead to an even more balanced program.

The breakout sessions that we had last year were very well received. They were actually all completely sold out! The subject of the breakout sessions is technique and complications (T&C). The T&C sessions are organized in small rooms with a maximum capacity of 50 participants. This guarantees optimal interaction.

We will again do our utmost to create a high level postgraduate course for nurses as well as doctors in the pleasant surroundings of the luxurious Okura Hotel, dressed up for Christmas. Please bring your partner and/or children and spend a few relaxing days in Amsterdam around our course in December 2008.
